Loss After Suicide
Hope helps individuals who have lost a loved one through suicide. We recognize that this type of loss is different from losing someone through natural or accidental causes, terminal illness, sudden illness or homicide.
As a survivor of suicide, you may feel
- Deep feelings of abandonment or guilt
- Intense anger and intense sadness
- Grief not only for your loved one, but also for yourself, the survivor
Survivors of suicide need a safe place to explore these feelings and to raise questions and doubts. Hope can help you through your grief, your ache and your struggle for wholeness.
Some individuals may attend a support group the day of the funeral. Others come a few months later; some, a few years later. There is no timetable for grief, and we welcome you at any time.
Our suicide support group will be there for you when you are ready.
